This New Year and this new phase of life for me is about gratitude. As many of you know, I am now a single mom. I am still running my little business, Sacred Space Yoga & Healing Arts Center, in Myrtle Beach and doing my best to make a living for myself and Ethan. I love being a mother. I love the work I do. I am incredibly grateful to be doing what I love and loving what I do. I am also grateful that I my work allows me to parent the way that I want to. I am grateful for the immense support that I have received from my family and friends. I am blessed by having such wonderful parents and friends who by their generous and loving nature, teach me how to be more loving, helpful, kind, and generous.
Since my pregnancy with Ethan, I have felt compelled to help educate and support other women through pregnancy and childbirth. Next week I begin a homestudy course in Childbirth Education so that I can teach pregnant parents. Next month I plan to attend a Doula training which will prepare me to assistant women during labor. Next year....who knows? Maybe by then I'll be studying to become a midwife.
